To make sea moss gel
Take your dried sea moss and cover with filtered water. Let soak for 1 hour so that the moss starts to rehydrate and any sea debris if removed . Pour out dirty water and repeat . On 3 rd rinse add 1 half lemon juice let sit . This will help remove sea taste and smell . lemon is also great for enhancing vitamin and minerals absorption. After another hour remove the lemon water and cover with spring water or bottle/filtered water and let sit overnight night . Blend to your desired thickness, will thicken in refrigerator after 24 hours . If I have 8 oz of hydrated sea moss I use 10 hours of water or juice .
If you want to soak in a fruit juice , after rinsing, cover with the juice and refrigerate over night . This will help favor the moss . Don’t blend with the juice it was soaking in blend, for full flavor use appropriately same ratio of juice .. or to your preferred thickness. It will thicken in the fridge. The amount of sugar or acid in your juice can effort the consistency of your thickness.
Wild crafted Sea Moss dried
Take your dried Sea moss and soak in water about 6O minutes , rinse and remove any visible debris. Do this 2 time. Now take the rinsed sea moss and add more water and squeeze a half of lemon into the water and soak 60 more minutes. This will help cleanse and remove the sea smell. Repeat 1 more times for a total of 1 hour, more if there is still visible debris.
Then cover the sea moss with 2-2 1/2 cups of spring water. Put in covered container and refrigerate over night for 1 to 2 day. Then next step is to blend mixture and store in an air tight container. The prepard gel can last 2 to 3 weeks in the fridge up to 3 months when frozen.
